Area Specific Resistance (ASR) Graph Plotting in Origon

ASR

  •          For ASR first find polarization resistance (Final Point of EIS on Horizontal (Total Resistance) - Initial Point of EIS on Horizontal (Ohmic Resistance)).
  •        Then make columns polarization resistance and corresponding temperature.
  •       Change temperature to Kalvin and find 1000/T.  X-AXIS
  •        Divide Polarization resistance by 2 (ASR).  Y-AXIS
  •        Convert Y-axis type to Log-10 and Rescale it CTRL+R
  •       Then Layer management and add top x-axis linked to y-axis
  •        Double click top x-axis add values from 900 to 500 and change type to offset reciprocal.

Activation Energy Calculation in Origon

Activation Energy ·          Click on the curve, go to analysis, fitting, and linear fit ·          Note the slope and error ·          Then follow the Formula to find activation energy              Ea =  mRln(10)1000 m= slope, R= 8.6173*10 -5 eV/K , ln(10) = 2.303
